Our Dog Hero

This is Hero. This poor dog was found on the side of a road on Friday June 1st in severe pain and not able to walk. He did not have any collar, tags or microchip so we don’t know who he might have belonged to. We think he is about 5-6 years old and he weighs 47 lbs.

After some tests showed no broken bones but a positive result for Lyme disease, he was started on antibiotics, and he required many days of pain medication to get him comfortable. We named him Hero because he has been through so much and he is such a good dog.

Hero will need several more weeks of treatment and he also has a heart murmur that should be evaluated with a chest x-ray and cardiac ultrasound – both tests cost money that we just don’t have.

Please help us to help this special dog – any donation will help pay for his tests and medications. He deserves a chance after all he has been through. Our mailing address is The Blue Dog Shelter, 1014 Pearl St. Brockton, MA 02301 or just Donate Now!
